Such tricks are designed to confuse us and make us buy more food. It is important for us, when educating patients, to get the balance right; to give enough information to enable patients to make sensible, informed choices without making their heads spin with too many facts. The label on the back of most packaged foods contains a wealth of important information, whereas the brightly coloured logo on the front of a pack might contain some very misleading ideas.
